Who am I and what is my experience?
I work for Smith + Nephew as an Orthopedic Device Specialist out of State College, Pennsylvania. Smith+Nephew is a portfolio medical technology company focused on the repair, regeneration and replacement of soft and hard tissue. We exist to restore people’s bodies and their self-belief by using technology to take the limits off living.
I am a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Health Policy Administration. Currently I work in the orthopedic medical device industry, primarily focusing on total joints concerning hips and knees, complex revisions, and robotics.
I recently moved to this position after serving as a territory development sales rep for Sports Medicine. I am also a consultant for the Sports Medicine/Biologics teams concerning arthroscopic and reconstructive operations related to shoulders, hips, knees, and extremities.
About the Podcast
Not all join replacements are the same!! Surgeons choose from hundreds of options for your new joint during your procedure, some of which are crap, some of which the holy grail.
This is just one complexity of the healthcare industry. My Idea is to create a platform where information and ideas can be shared without propaganda or bias. In this place, individuals can get together with others who share their interests to have and hear conversations.
I want to create a trustworthy environment hearing perspectives from Surgeons, Registered Nurses, Anesthesiologists, Patients, Athletes, and many other individuals. Everyone’s voice is meaningful in the healthcare conversation.
